Week 11

  Last class our teacher taught us a new alternative to keep our electronic portfolios more dynamic. The program that we can use is Cuadernia. It is a program that everyone can download free in internet; even it does not require internet connection at home to work with it. Also, I could learn that it has some useful tools which allow us to add pictures and videos in our portfolios in order to make them look more interactive and entertained. Furthermore, this can be considered a good way to involve your students in order to use technology during their classes. Fortunately, you do not need to be a computer expert to use this program because the manipulation of it does not require an academic preparation. Besides, the use of this program may be used in order to promote care of the environment because if you use it, you will be able to save paper. Then, you may be able to avoid that thousand of thousands of trees will not be cut down every day. That is something really important now because every day there is a lot of rainforest and jungles that are destroyed to get its trees. Furthermore, the use of Cuadernia can get conscious on people to take care of the environment.   

         

Week 10

      During the presentation of my classmates I could realize that there are a lot of things that we need to keep in mind when we want to manage a class. First of all, when someone wants to teach a class, that person really needs to show self- confidence. Of course, as teachers we have the work to create self- confidence not only in ourselves, but also in our students. It should be necessary in order to create a good atmosphere where students and teacher can work together in order to achieve the main purpose of the class. In that way students avoid feeling uncomfortable, so the will be able to perform any kind of activity without complication. Also, I could notice that the choice of the activities is really important in order to make students feel motivated; otherwise, they could get bored easily. Obviously, my classmates and I could learn from our own mistakes when we performed those demo classes, but it is important to avoid commit them again. Furthermore, the way how we manage a class can influence in the students` learning. For this reason, we as future teachers need to look for alternatives that can help us to make a different class that everybody can enjoy and learn every single day.

Week 9

      I think that the last week was really useful for us because our teacher explained more about how to do a good lesson plan.Fisrt at all; she told us that a lesson plan is a very important document that helps teacher to manage a class in a right way. Also, she said that the objectives are really important because they explain what the teacher expects form his students to achieve at the end of the class. In order to achieve that was necessary to use a rubric that our teacher provided us. Thanks to it we could be able to learn that there are some important things that must be included in a good lesson plan. As for example: one of the most important parts of a lesson plan is the objective. As a conclusion, I think that this class is going to help us a lot because next semester we are going to put in practice everything what we learned in classes and if we know how to make a good lesson plan we will be able to manage a class without complication, so the job will not be so difficult as I thought before.

Week 8

       I think that the last class was one of the most useful and important because our teacher told us what a lesson plan exactly is. She showed us a power point presentation which explained what the main objective to use a lesson plan is, so I could be able to understand in a clear way that a lesson plan is a very useful document that allows us to organize every single class using different activities. Therefore, I can say that it is really important and useful for all us because we are going to put in practice everything what we learned in class when we must to give classes in any school next semester. I am sure that all these things will help us to do a good job, so we will be able to manage any class without complication. Also, our teacher gave us some assignments that help us to learn and identify how we can make a good lesson plan. As for example: we looked for information about lesson plans to teach writing on internet. It was a little complicated because there are some different ways to do that, but it is necessary to keep in mind that our teacher provided us a rubric that can be used to recognize a good lesson plan.

Week 7

       This week I learned something very useful about how to make a good power point presentation. First at all, our teacher gave us some tips that we should keep in mind when we want to make it. One of them is that we never must write too many words because it can cause confusion between the audiences, however, it is acceptable to write only key words. Also, the use of too many effects in a presentation is not a good idea, because it can make our presentations unprofessional. Also, the use of pictures in a power point presentation is an excellent way to catch students` attention, but it is recommendable to put pictures that are related with the topic we are explaining because our audience can be able to assimilate the information easier, so they will be able to catch the main idea easily. As a conclusion, we as future professionals have the obligation to apply everything what we learned in class in order to make a positive change in Education otherwise, it could be considered a waste of time for all us and our teacher and that is not the main point to do that.

Week 6

     Last class I could learn a very interesting exposition that was presented by our teachers. They provided us some information related with the use of certain web pages that can be very useful to develop any kind of activities into the classroom, so we will be able to get students` attention easier than before even we can be able to find some activities to teachers about how to use them in order to improve as professionals, also we can find some tips to create or design a lesson plan using different kind of activities that make the job easier. Besides, we could realize that the use of technology is considered an important tool in Education, because it allows us to share our information with others by using different social web pages. As a conclusion, the use of technology nowadays can be considered an important aspect that we should keep in mind as future professionals in order to make the difference just at the moment to share our knowledge with our students.

Week 5

Last class I learned something related with UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization).It tells us that this organization is trying to help people who do not have the chance to access to a good education. Also, they are working through ICT (Information and Communication Technology) that tries to expand the help to other places where the level of Education is bad. Besides, it tries to implement the use of technology in different places in order to share knowledge. However, this can be considered a real challenge because teachers should be prepared to use the ICT and they should be able to change the manner to teach in the learning process in an interactive way. Therefore, Teachers could be able to get students` attention that can help them to confront new challenges during this process. As a conclusion, we as future teachers should think about the positive benefits that the use of technology can give us to develop a new way to teach. Therefore, we have the chance to learn new things that permit us to become a good professional and we will be able to share our knowledge with our students.
